Paid Part Time Staff Vacancy, Office Administrator
The Office Administrator is a vital support person working with the Chief Administrator and a team of volunteers to ensure the smooth operation of the Community Justice Centre. This position works three days per week, 9 AM to Noon. It involves a range of administrative functions including: monthly cheque preparation and budget coding of expenses; scheduling back-up volunteers due to illness/vacation, etc.; maintenance and updating of volunteers’ records, e-mail addresses, organizational contacts; personnel file management, conducting reference checks; assisting in event organization; maintaining official records; ordering and maintaining stocks of supplies; and other related duties assigned.
Skills Required: Good verbal and written communication skills; Typing; Ability to compose letters and memos, Pleasant telephone manner; Familiarity with computers and a variety of computer programs; General office skills in filing, labeling, photocopying, data entry; Organizational and time management. Confidentiality of information is essential and mandatory. Training and good support provided.
The salary range for this position is $16.00 – $16.75/hr, with an annual CPI increase. There are no health and welfare benefits, but sick leave (1 shift/month, accumulating) and vacation (2 weeks in first year, increasing in subsequent years) are provided.
